If you’re going to Charleston, you might as well drive ten miles north of Charleston. You will find the outstanding Isle of Palms. You will have seven miles of beach, tons of palms trees, surfing, and you can do almost any activity in the ocean (“Introduction to Isle of Palms”). Another place you will have to visit would be Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Water Park. It has over fifteen miles of nothing but fun (“Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Park”). You will have to try out the wave pool. It makes you feel like you’re in the ocean. Although all of these places are great, the number one attraction in Charleston is the South Carolina Aquarium (“South Carolina Aquarium). You are even allowed to touch invertebrates in the touch tank.

What is There to do in the Isle of Palms?

With the beautiful beaches, and little stores all around, there is a ton of water sports to do. You can Parasail up to eight hundred feet in the air, and look down and see huge stingrays right beneath you (“Introduction to Isle of Palms”). You can rent jet skis, go wakeboarding, or even rent the banana boats. All of these activities are done in the intercostals waterway. So while you are in the water doing all these activities, make sure you watch out for dolphins swimming right next to you.

What Makes Whirlin’ Waters so Fun?
There is always something to do at Whirlin’ Waters. They have the lazy river, which is where you can relax in a float, while just drifting slowly along in the nice warm summer breeze. If you are into competition, there is Riptide Run, which has six different lanes where you race each other on mats. The Tubular Twister will be perfect for you if you like twisting and turning. It is seven stories high, and has three different slides (“Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Park”). The Big Splash Tree house is great for all ages. It has water running all through it; with a whole bunch of gadgets you can twist and turn. The tree house is like a big jungle gym where you can climb on things, and it has mini slides. There is Lily Pad Lagoon for toddlers to play at. It has a shallow pool, and has different spraying gestures.
